What are the benefits of Wall Coatings?

There are many situations where it may be advantageous to consider applying a polyurethane coating to walls, but we find them mostly being utilised in areas where strict hygiene standards are essential. For example, laboratories, clean rooms, places where food is prepared or even pharmaceutical and healthcare areas are ideally suited.

The reason people choose a wall coating like this is because they are areas that will need to be regularly cleaned, often using chemicals that could stain or damage standard wall finishes.

Most wall coatings can be applied easily using a roller or brush, and they'll cover concrete, wood or plaster, meaning they can be applied to most situations. Although we find many people can apply these coatings themselves, we do suggest that you seek the help of a professional if you've never used them before.

FibreDecor Wallcoating, when marketed, attract the attention of a large number of clients with its uniqueness unparalleled by traditional coating materials has ultra-strong capabilities is protective of environment, resists cracking and peeling and has the effect of fully demonstrating individuality.

Why apply a wall coating?

Hygiene is extremely important in many walks of life, and any company that deals with sensitive products has strict cleanliness rules or deals in the healthcare industry must take the maintenance and cleaning of all surfaces seriously. Although floors are often cleaned regularly, walls can attract just as much dirt and bacteria, and it can also be carried and transmitted much easier.

For example, in a doctor's waiting room, you'll see people leaning against walls. If they are carrying any kind of infection, they can be spreading that on the wall. Likewise, a perfectly healthy person who then touches the wall could pick up those bugs and spread it even further.

This is why such areas have strict cleaning regimes, but not every surface is suitable or can withstand regular scrubbing. Because cleaning chemicals have to be so harsh, they can damage walls, reducing their ability to withstand germs. A good polyurethane wall coating eliminates these problems. It can be applied to most surfaces and when dry, will provide good impact and abrasion resistance. This is important because maintaining a smooth surface means it's easier to clean. Any bumps, scratches or dents in the wall can result in germs finding nooks and crannies where cleaning products can't reach.

In the case of food preparation, it’s important that all surfaces are seamless, again to resist the possibility of harbouring bugs and to aid cleaning.

Creative decorate ideas for Kitchens

Depending upon your individual color preferences, kitchens offer an ideal opportunity to let your color imagination soar!
Color: For those homeowners that prefer bright colors, kitchens offer a blank canvas for applying colorful paint and wallpaper border combinations to wall coverings.
Add new life to worn or dated cabinets by applying a complementary paint color to update the existing appearance.
Neutral Tones: "Color conservative" folks may opt to inject a soft palette of personality with the clever addition of painted stencil borders and motifs (including currently popular themes such as garden and natural designs) that coordinate with existing kitchen themes.
Paint Techniques: Consider coordinating a decorative paint treatment, such as ragging, combing, etc. (see Decorative Techniques) with a contemporary wallpaper border. Or, if you love the look of decorative paint but lack the time to complete such a project, explore the possibility of adding a "faux" wallpaper border (that mimics decorative paint techniques) to a painted, solid color wall.
Additional Decorative Ideas:
Add color and pattern to a plain, white tile backsplash by applying color with a freehand or stenciled painted design.
Inject a splash of color to ordinary beadboarding with the clever application of paint.
Camouflage a damaged floor by selecting colors that are prevalent within your kitchen color scheme and painting a "faux" tile design.
Unify a mismatched dinette set by painting the table and chairs using one cohesive color.
Customize furnishings by applying a whimsical stamp or stencil to seats or seatbacks.

The right choices for your walls

The Right Choices For Your Walls

To make your living space fresh again, it is enough to refresh the walls. They are the largest surfaces in the interior and they affect the space a lot, so choosing the right colors, material and design is essential for your space.

How to animate your walls

There is a large number of techniques when doing work on walls from decorative materials with the silk effect that create amazing sensations when touched, to special ancient effects that remind of city house decorations from the renaissance period.

The triumphant return of the wall coatings

Wall coating have seen a true comeback in the last few years in wall decoration. So, logically the choice is becoming richer, from rustic, silky, to those with 3D effects and more. A big advantages is that they make the maintenance of the wall easier, it gives a longer lasting protection from dirty and it is relatively simple to replace.
Above everything, they secure an economic and very strong decorative result. You should be careful when choosing the design, and what is more important, the amount of wallpaper you put into that space.

How to choose and combine wall coatings

  • If the wall coating has more aggressive colors and designs it should be used on smaller surfaces in combination with colored walls.
  • If it has colder colors, and pastel colors without much print or effects, it can be used on more surfaces in one room.

Traps when choosing the wall color

A dark wall can be used to make the room longer, while the ceiling in rooms where you stay longer and more often, like the dining room or the living room, should be white. It is widely considered that dark colors shrink the space, and that is simply not true. Dark colors can add depth and the feeling of a larger space to a certain room where that color is present.
The colors of the walls should be chosen in relation to the specific structure of a space. A lot of dark furniture in one space will surely demand lighter colored walls. You should be very careful when choosing strong base colors – red, blue and yellow – which will after a while start irritating the people present around it. Using earthy, pastel wall colors is a risk free option.
Maybe the space will seem boring, but staying in it will certainly be comfortable. If you’re using pastel colors, spicing things up with Roman blinds or curtains in wild colors may be the right choice.

A thousand effects without additional materials

It doesn’t matter that for working on wall surfaces requires a certain knowledge, it surely doesn’t mean that you can’t experiment and search for a way to express your own ideas.
Hand made actions in your space are something which can be pretty great. You will probably like a wall you painted yourself more than a wall somebody else painted, even if your work wasn’t perfect and you had a few mistakes here and there. If the person you hired to paint your wall and didn’t really capture your idea, even worse. Experiment with colors, because a wall intervention is the simplest way to get a fully new look of the apartment.

What is cool wall coating?

Cool wall coating is an exterior coating system used on all types of exterior surfaces for ultimate weather-ability and the added advantage of heat reflection. Using speciatlized heat-reflective pigments, Cool wall coating reflects the infra-red portion of the sun’s rays, keeping exterior surfaces cooler and allowing less heat to be transferred into the building interior. Because the paint film does not heat up as much as regular paint, the weathering effects are lessened, allowing the film to outlast even the best paints in the market.

Cool wall coating uses new technology in the pigment of the product to reflect infra-red heat from the sun. This allows the finish to perform longer on exterior walls, while keeping the interior of the building cooler and saving costly energy. All of our products are water-based for easy and safe use, and are quick-drying for a fast application.
